Scott Nathan has served on the board of the League of Conservation Voters since 2004 and as its chair since 2011. Scott is the Chief Risk Officer of The Baupost Group, an absolute return, value-oriented investment partnership in Boston. He chairs Baupost’s portfolio risk committee and is a member of the firm’s management committee. He joined the firm in 1995. Outside of work, in addition to LCV, Scott serves on numerous other boards and committees including the Wilderness Society, Center for American Progress, Harvard Corporation Finance Committee, the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, and the Massachusetts Governor’s Council of Economic Advisors. Scott is a summa cum laude graduate of Harvard College and was the Lionel de Jersey Harvard Scholar at Emmanuel College, Cambridge University in England. He also received a J.D. and an MBA, both from Harvard University.
