LCV works to turn environmental values into national, state and local priorities. LCV, in collaboration with our state LCV partners, advocates for sound environmental laws and policies, holds elected officials accountable for their votes and actions, and elects pro-environment candidates who will champion our priority issues. The Campaigns Associate will assist with tracking of departmental budgets, research and preparation of materials, help administer LCV's connected PAC, and offer administrative support to the SVP for Campaigns and general administrative support to the Campaigns Department.


Budget & Administrative Support

  • Track Campaigns Department spending for LCV Education Fund, LCV and related entities
  • Oversee logistics for Campaign Department grants disbursements to state LCVs and other allies
  • Provide general administrative support to Campaigns Department; process department check requests; maintain list serves; schedule meetings
  • Record and distribute meeting notes for key Board Committees and other meetings


  • Assist the SVP and National Campaigns Director in preparing electoral and issue campaign plans
  • Organize all Campaigns Department written materials for Board, Donor and Political Ally meetings and pitches
  • Assist the Research Director with candidate and issues research

Administer PAC & FEC compliance

  • Track schedule of PAC events & coordinate LCV staff attendance at events
  • Track PAC expenses & coordinate disbursement of PAC funds to candidates, including in-kind contributions, and communicate with campaigns about PAC events and compliance issues
  • Track LCV membership communication expenditures reported to the FEC
  • Assist in preparing endorsement proposals and GiveGreen bios for online bundling website


Education: College degree required.

Work experience: At least two years experience in administrative, campaign, advocacy or related work.

Skills: Excellent writer and researcher; Experience in budget management; Excellent with Powerpoint/Prezi; Willing to work long hours/weekends; Well-organized, thorough & detail-oriented; able to manage multiple-tasks at once, and work across departments to achieve shared goals. Thrives in a fast-paced campaign environment; enjoys interacting with elected officials and has a professional demeanor; interested in environmental issues, issue advocacy and electoral campaigns.
