Conservation Voters for Idaho (CVI) and Conservation Voters for Idaho Education Fund (CVIEF) work together to protect Idaho’s spectacular environment and quality of life, through strengthening the political power of the conservation community. CVI works to elect and support pro-conservation candidates at the state and local level, and to hold elected officials accountable for their actions on conservation issues. CVIEF works to promote public awareness and increase civic engagement around conservation issues, and advocates for sound and sustainable environmental policy.
The Field Organizer is responsible for understanding the political and policy goals of CVI and CVIEF, translating those goals into grassroots strategies, and implementing winning tactics in the assigned regions – with a particular focus on sportsmen. The Field Organizer will execute outreach efforts like drafting materials; coordinating local groups and building long-term, local relationships; communicating directly and indirectly with legislators; fundraising; and managing volunteers and interns. The Field Organizer may also assist with the implementation of electoral campaigns with tactics including volunteer recruitment, managing phone banks, running door-to-door canvasses, and generating earned media, or implementing civic engagement/voter education campaigns.
