On Wednesday, May 21, the Senate Climate Action Task Force is teaming up with the Safe Climate Caucus and the Sustainable Energy and Environment Coalition in the House to sound the alarm for climate action…literally. They are holding a rally in DC where everyone will set their alarms to go off at 5pm EST in an attempt to WAKE UP Congress about the realities of climate change. But to make sure their message rings loudly across the country, we need your help to echo their call online!
Click "Join this Thunderclap" to support this rally via Facebook, Twitter, or Tumblr now and it will automatically be published to your account at 5pm EST this Wednesday at the exact same moment as hundreds of others push out an identical message.
I’m sure you’re fed up with Congress’ lack of action on climate change. But guess who else thinks it’s unacceptable for Congress to ignore the issue? Our congressional champions!
Our allies in the House and Senate have spoken week after week on the floor about the need to act on climate change. In March, they even stayed up all night to raise awareness. They’re not giving up until their colleagues pull their heads out of the sand – and this week, they’re taking it up another notch. So, help us sound the alarm and join our Thunderclap to reverberate this message across the internet through our social media accounts.
