Washington, D.C. – The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) Action Fund, which works to elect candidates who will support sound environmental policies, announced today its endorsement of Susan Wild for Congress in Pennsylvania’s 7th Congressional District.

“LCV Action Fund is excited to endorse Susan Wild for Congress because we know she will always fight for Pennsylvania’s families and environment,” said LCV Action Fund Senior Vice President of Government Affairs Tiernan Sittenfeld. “With her commitments to banning fracking on public lands and incentivizing clean energy, we know she will be a powerful voice in Congress for a healthier future for all.”

“Susan Wild will work tirelessly to bring clean energy jobs to the Lehigh Valley,” said Conservation Voters of Pennsylvania Executive Director Josh McNeil. “We can trust her to fight for the communities that are most exposed to the dangers of pollution and stand up to this administration’s attacks on our clean air and water.”

“I am grateful for the support and partnership of the League of Conservation Voters Action Fund,” said Susan Wild. “Protection of the environment has always been a passion for me.  I believe that economic growth can be completely compatible with clean water and air.  We have a unique opportunity to bring sustainable, good-paying jobs to the Lehigh Valley. What our community needs right now is a bipartisan advocate in Washington who can see beyond the rhetoric of our current administration to the economic and quality of life benefits that accompany good environmental practices.”

Susan Wild received her bachelor’s degree from American University and her law degree from George Washington University. After law school, she moved to the Lehigh Valley where she has had a successful law career and served as the first female Solicitor for the City of Allentown. Wild is an avid organic gardener who will work in Congress to ban fracking on public lands, invest in the development of renewable energy technologies, and rejoin the Paris Climate Agreement.
