New York, New York — LCV Victory Fund today announced a $710,000 TV ad in New York’s 22nd congressional district. The ad, which will run in the Binghamton, Syracuse and Utica markets through Election Day, shows how Rep. Claudia Tenney voted against protections for people with pre-existing conditions.

WATCH: “Half”

“Claudia Tenney puts corporate special interests ahead of her constituents’ public health,” said Pete Maysmith, LCV Victory Fund Senior Vice President for Campaigns. “She voted to gut protections for people with pre-existing conditions like diabetes and asthma, while letting corporate polluters spew more toxins into our air and water. Central New York deserves better.”

Tenney has earned a failing 6 percent lifetime score from the League of Conservation Voters, meaning she has voted against protections for New York’s environment and public health nearly every single time. Tenney has taken over half a million dollars in contributions from corporate PACS.

A script of the ad is below, and research back-up is available here.

“Half”

More than half of people under 65 in Upstate New York have pre-existing conditions like diabetes and asthma. But Claudia Tenney doesn’t stand with us.

Instead, Tenney stood with the corporate special interests that have given over half a million dollars to her campaign, like the oil billionaire Koch Brothers… voting to gut protections for pre-existing conditions.

Claudia Tenney cares about the special interests, not us.
