MTBE in Colorado's 7th District
Methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) is a gasoline additive that has contaminated groundwater thoughout the U.S. MTBE has been tied to cancer, kidney damage and impaired fetal development. Despite these risks to health and the environment of his constituents, Rep. Bob Beauprez voted to protect the MTBE industry from cleanup costs.
