Sen. John F. Kerry

Kerry and LCV signs

LCV endorsed Sen. John F. Kerry for President in January 2004 -- the earliest Presidential endorsement in our 34-year history. John Kerry's record shows that he understands that the American people need a president who will never roll over to corporate contributors at the expense of the health and safety of the public.

President George W. Bush

Bush Frowning

President George W. Bush's record on environmental issues is the worst for any President in recent memory. Policy changes that effectively roll back over 30 years of bipartisan environmental protections and side with corporate polluters has earned this president the first failing grade on LCV's Presidential Report Card. His unprecedented neglect and hostility toward the America's environment has also earned President Bush and Vice President Cheney the top spot on LCV's Dirty Dozen list of anti-environment candidates -- the first ever designation for the Executive Branch in LCV's history.

Smoke Stacks

The Bush Administration, from its earliest days in office, has staged a blatant, sustained and unremitting attack on environmental protections on behalf of their corporate patrons and donors.
