LCV Campaigns

LCV's independent campaigns are a key element of our strategy to craft a pro-environment Congress -- because they aggressively target candidates where it matters most, at the ballot box. Based on strategic political targeting and the candidate's votes and actions on the environment, our campaigns educate voters about the records of pro- and anti-environment candidates.

2006 Campaigns
LCV is running independent campaigns in several key 2006 races.  We will be working to defeat anti-environmental incumbents and supporting environmental leaders.

Environmental Champions
Our
Environmental Champions campaigns work to protect vulnerable Members of Congress who have proven their environmental leadership.

 Dirty Dozen Dirty Dozen
Our signature Dirty Dozen program targets anti-environment candidates in campaigns where we have a serious chance to affect the outcome. Since we started the Dirty Dozen in 1996, we have helped defeat 28 of the 49 anti-environment candidates we've targeted -- including many "undefeatable" incumbents.

Endorsements

Endorsements
LCV Action Fund's
Endorsements offered voters a guide to determining where their Member of Congress stands on the environment. Each election year we select from a list of candidates that have demonstrated a commitment to clean air and water, preserving our natural resources and ensuring a healthy environment for future generations
