Each election cycle, our Dirty Dozen campaigns targets 12 anti-environment legislators in some of the most hotly contested races in the country. Based on sound polling, LCV Action Fund campaigns strategically use TV, direct mail, earned media and focused grassroots efforts to highlight the most effective environmental messages and bring voters to the polls on Election Day. In 2000, we invested over $4 million, the largest expenditure in history, to promote environmental concerns on Election Day.
