In response to President Obama’s unveiling of the Clean Power Plan — which sets national limits of carbon pollution from existing power plants — LCV and its Latino environmental programs launched two simultaneous media campaigns in three states, Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico, to encourage Latinos to tell their Governors to develop strong state implementation plans and invest in clean energy.
The campaigns, Pa’ tu madre… tierra (For your mother… earth) will reach out to bilingual Latino millennials, while ilumínate (illuminate yourself) will reach out to Spanish-dominant Latina moms. Ilumínate consists of Spanish-language billboards, print ads and radio spots, and Pa’ tu madre… tierra is comprised of bilingual digital banners and social media videos.
Enjoy this sneak peek here! And starting August 13, the Pa’ tu madre… tierra campaign can be seen on the Latino Outreach Program social media pages of Chispa in Arizona, Protégete in Colorado, and Juntos in New Mexico – Univision.com, and You Tube. The ilumínate campaign can be seen in La Voz de Arizona, La Voz de Colorado and El Semanario de Nuevo Mexico, and heard on La Campesina 88.3FM (AZ), La Tricolor 96.5FM (CO), and Jose 107.1FM (NM).
