Earlier today we reported that proposed EPA rules to clean and modernize power plants are expected to create nearly 1.5 million new jobs.
Of those, more than 62,000 jobs would be created in Michigan.
Michigan is the home state of Rep. Fred Upton, Chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee. Today, Rep. Upton is holding hearings on his proposed bill to gut the EPA, which would prevent those new job-creating rules from taking effect.
