Media Matters for America, the media watchdog group, recently analyzed all the television news guests who discussed the EPA’s role in regulating greenhouse gas emissions between December of 2009 and April of 2011.

The results of their analysis are abysmal—during those appearances, 76% of guests opposed to the EPA’s safeguards while only 18% were in favor. 6% were neutral.
Unsurprisingly, the vast majority of anti-EPA guests appeared on Rupert Murdoch’s networks, FOX News and FOX Business Network.
Out of the 152 anti-EPA guests who appeared on the 9 networks Media Mattersanalyzed during that 17-month period, 117 appeared on either FOX News or FOX Business Network.
Contrary to the opinions expressed in the news media, polling routinely shows that more than 70% of the American people support the EPA regulating greenhouse gases.
