Former Vice President Al Gore’s Climate Reality Project will launch a new campaign with its 24 Hours of Reality event September 14 -15, Think Progress’s Brad Johnson reports.

The event, which is designed “to focus the world’s attention on the full truth, scope, scale and impact of the climate crisis,” will involve presentations in major cities in each of the world’s 24 time zones, starting in Mexico City and ending with Al Gore’s presentation in New York City.

The live-streamed event will feature multimedia presentations on the connection between extreme weather and climate change, and invite the audience—both online and in - person—to take part in specific actions to address climate change.
