Today, LCV is proud to welcome former EPA Administrator and conservation champion Carol Browner to our Board of Directors.
Browner served as EPA Administrator from 1993 to 2001--the entirety of the Clinton administration--which makes her the longest-serving administrator in the agency's history. More recently, Browner served in the Obama administration as the Assistant to the President for Energy and Climate Change.
Here's what LCV President Gene Karpinski had to say on Browner's move to LCV:
The League of Conservation Voters proudly welcomes Carol Browner to our Board of Directors. We are honored to have Ms. Browner’s three decades of experience in building economic and environmental stability and look forward to her leadership as we work to combat unprecedented assaults on our environmental and public health protections by Congress. With her role at the nexus of business and public policy, she is living proof that business and government can work together for transformative clean energy reform, and as a Board Member, Ms. Browner will be a powerful asset.
