In an effort to improve global warming communication and outreach, Goolge.org--Google's philanthropic organization--has announced the selection of 21 fellows to develop new media strategies that improve public communication about global warming and climate change.

Included among these 21 fellows are mid-career Ph.D. climate scientists from the nation's leading climate science institutions.Together, these scientists will pioneer efforts using new media, technology, and computational thinking in science communication to better inform and educate the public about climate change.

Google's announcement comes as recent polls demonstrate increasing public skepticism of climate change--undoubtedly the result of recent misinformation campaigns from oil industry front groups and Fox News.
