Joined by adorable babies, Ranger Rick the Raccoon, a polar bear, and a coalition of environmental groups, the League of Conservation Voters today helped to hand-deliver 735,000 comments in support of the EPA’s recently proposed industrial carbon pollution standards.  LCV members contributed 96,000 comments in just over a week, sending a big message to Big Polluters.

At the EPA’s headquarters, the coalition was met by Deputy Administrator Bob Perciasepe, who thanked the groups for helping the EPA accomplish its mission in creating a cleaner, healthier America.

Once finalized, the historic Carbon Pollution Standards will provide critical protections against power plant carbon emissions, the single largest source of industrial carbon pollution.  The main contributor to climate change, carbon pollution is also linked with damaging health effects, including childhood asthma.

We’re collecting another half a million comments over the next few weeks to send a message to dirty polluters.  Join us in standing up for clean air!
