Climate deniers are so last generation. LCV released a bipartisan poll this week showing how climate change stands to become a defining issue for young voters nationwide. The poll also examines young voters’ attitudes toward the President’s new climate plan and climate change deniers in Congress. Check out these graphics that display some noteworthy results:
The majority of young voters recognize the threat of climate change. This understanding, coupled with the age group’s strong favorability towards the President, leads to intense support for action.
This widespread and intense support translates into a willingness to support legislators who back it.
And leaders who deny the problem of climate change are at risk on more than just a policy and legislative front. Young voters describe climate deniers as “ignorant,” “out of touch” and “crazy.”
