Climate science deniers, take note:

The above image plots how many times a heat record was tied or broken in a given location during the month of July, when multiple heat waves swept across the country.

According to the NOAA, nearly 9,000 daily temperature records were tied or broken last month, including 2,755 highest maximum temperatures (top map) and 6,171 highest minimum temperatures (bottom map). Some cities reached daily high temperatures on 19 out of July’s 31 days.

And these records aren’t even complete yet—this analysis only contains two-thirds of the collected temperature data. More complete results are expected later this month.
