Representative Fred Upton sided with his dirty energy donors Tuesday when he accused environmentalist groups of “politicizing” the pollution debate in an Investor’s Business Daily editorial.

Rep. Upton, who has received over $863,000 in polluter donations, specifically classified the American Lung Association’s recent scientifically - supportedcampaign to raise awareness about the respiratory health impacts of climate - change induced smog pollution as “tactics intended to produce media hype.”

In Rep. Upton’s home state of Michigan, over 225,000 children have been diagnosed with asthma—amounting to 22,276 emergency room visits due to respiratory complications alone.
