Presidential candidate Tim Pawlenty has joined the ranks of climate science deniers, claiming that climate change is occurring due to natural causes.
Pawlenty claimed that most—if not all—of climate change can be attributed to "natural causes" and concluded that "the science is in dispute."
In fact, the science is not in dispute—a large number of prominent scientific organizations have all concluded that climate change is occurring and is attributable to human activities (such as the burning of fossil fuels).
During his tenure as Governor of Minnesota, Pawlenty was an advocate of programs like cap and trade. This latest move puts Pawlenty alongside other candidates—like Mitt Romney—who have become climate science deniers since launching their campaign for President.
