October 21, 2014

WASHINGTON – League of Conservation Voters (LCV) National Press Secretary Jeff Gohringer released this statement ahead of the New Hampshire Senate debate later today. LCV recently launched a nearly $400,000 television ad campaign, currently running across the state, highlighting that the out-of-state oil billionaire Koch Brothers and Big Oil support former Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown because of his long record of voting for special tax breaks for the oil industry.

“Scott Brown was one of Big Oil’s best friends in the Senate. It’s no surprise that front groups run by polluters like the oil billionaire Koch Brothers are spending millions of dollars to defeat Jeanne Shaheen and buy him another seat in the Senate. New Hampshire voters cannot afford to send climate science denier Scott Brown back to Washington to pick up where he left off, protecting oil industry profits at the taxpayers’ expense.”
