LCV Statement on House ‘Oil Above All’ Energy Package

Washington – League of Conservation Voters (LCV) President Gene Karpinski issued the following statement regarding passage of the House of Representatives “oil above all” energy package:

“The most anti-environment House of Representatives in our nation’s history has approved an ‘oil above all’ energy package that checks off a lot of boxes on Big Oil’s wish list. By voting to make it easier to pollute our air, drill on our public lands and poison our waterways, the oil industry’s congressional cronies have once again demonstrated that they’re more interested in protecting Big Oil’s big profits than offering real solutions to our energy challenges.”
