New program will connect with voters in North Carolina, Nevada, and Pennsylvania

Washington, DC - LCV Victory Fund is announcing the launch of an aggressive $4.2 million persuasion canvass campaign in three Presidential swing states to persuade voters to support Hillary Clinton and oppose Donald Trump. This new campaign is modeled on LCV’s persuasion canvass campaigns targeting Senate candidates this cycle in Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Ohio.

LCV Victory Fund will target swing voters in Clark County Nevada, Montgomery and Delaware Counties in Pennsylvania, and the greater Raleigh-Durham area of North Carolina.  The canvass will make two passes through a universe of nearly 970,000 likely voters across the three states before early voting begins. These voters have a Catalist vote propensity score above 50 and a Catalist Clinton support score between 20 and 90.

“The difference between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump could not be starker,” said LCV Victory Fund National Campaigns Director Clay Schroers.  "Trump completely lacks the judgement, temperament and knowledge to be President. His stubborn climate denialism, threats to cut the EPA and indifferent ignorance on energy policy show how far outside the mainstream he is.  Hillary Clinton, on the other hand, has shown time and again that she has the smart approach to policy we need to protect public health, combat climate change and make America the leader in clean energy technology.  We’re looking forward to sharing that contrast with voters in these critical battleground states with the type of in-depth conversations we know can make a difference.”

During the Democratic primary, LCV ran a digital ad campaign contrasting Hillary Clinton and Trump on climate and clean energy, as well as supporting digital campaigns with Priorities USA in support of Clinton and attacking Trump for his climate change denial. In addition, LCV Victory Fund and Priorities USA Action supported Hillary with a direct mail campaign targeting Democratic primary voters in Florida and North Carolina, encouraging them to take advantage of early vote options in their states.
