WASHINGTON – The League of Conservation Voters today responded to Josh Mandel’s remarks at an Ohio rally for Mitt Romney late yesterday:
“What’s truly radical is that Josh Mandel trusts Washington politicians to reign in corporate polluters and not scientists at the EPA. Scientists have put in place safeguards protecting the air Ohioans breathe and the water they drink, but Mandel wants to prevent them from doing their jobs. With safeguards on mercury and other toxic pollution posed to save up to 11,000 lives, Mandel’s willingness to roll back vital clean air protections is especially galling.
And here’s a truly radical idea for Josh Mandel: showing up for work. Instead, Mandel is a typical politician that puts his campaign contributors ahead of his constituents,” said Navin Nayak, LCV Senior Vice President for Campaigns.
