President Barack Obama to be Featured Speaker at LCV’s Annual Capital Dinner

Washington, DC — On the one-year anniversary of his Climate Action Plan, President Barack Obama will be the featured speaker at the League of Conservation Voters’ (LCV) annual Capital Dinner on Wednesday, June 25th. President Obama also spoke at the dinner in 2006 as a Senator. 

"We’re deeply honored that President Obama will speak at our Capital Dinner on the one-year anniversary of his powerful speech unveiling his Climate Action Plan," said Gene Karpinski, President of LCV.  "With the EPA's Clean Power Plan just announced, the President is taking the biggest step America ever has taken to address the biggest challenge we've ever faced - climate change." 

Leaders from throughout the environmental community and many Members of Congress are expected to attend.
