SANTA FE – Today, the League of Conservation Voters (LCV) announced the beginning of an independent expenditure campaign in support of Ben R. Lujan for Congress.  Lujan has earned major endorsements from LCV, Conservation Voters of New Mexico, the Sierra Club, and former Congressman and Secretary of the Interior Stewart Udall.

LCV’s independent expenditure campaign will highlight both these endorsements and Lujan’s strong environmental record using targeted voter outreach, paid media, and the launch of EnvironmentalistsForLujan.org.

“Ben’s record and his commitment to a renewable energy future will make him a skilled and effective Representative for New Mexico,” LCV President Gene Karpinski said.  “LCV encourages the voters of New Mexico to share your state’s commitment to the environment with the rest of the country by voting for Ben R. Lujan on June 3.”

The campaign website is available at http://EnvironmentalistsForLujan.org.
