Washington, DC –With only five weeks left before the midterm elections on November 7th, The League of Conservation Voters (LCV), the independent political voice for the environment, today launched the LCV blog at http://lcv.typepad.com.
“The League of Conservation Voters’ new blog will provide unique insight and commentary on news of the day relating to Congress, campaigns, energy, global warming and the environment,” LCV President Gene Karpinski said. “The blog will also highlight LCV’s political, legislative and public education projects.”
LCV’s blog will appeal to the environmental community, political community and those following the ’06 election cycle. LCV Senior Staff and Field Staff posted around the country will regularly contribute to the blog regarding news of the day and LCV’s activities.
The blog currently features several key issues, including the announcement of LCV’s Dirty Dozen list. Next week, LCV’s blog will feature the upcoming rollout of the LCV’s National Environmental Scorecard on Wednesday, October 11th, 2006.
