John McCain Attemps to Hoodwink Colorado Voters

WASHINGTON, DC - At an event in Pueblo yesterday, Senator John McCain thanked Colorado for sending its water to Phoenix and promised to never seek a renegotiation of the Colorado River water compact.

On August 15, Senator McCain told the Pueblo Chieftain:  “I don't think there's any doubt the major, major issue is water and can be as important as oil. So the compact that is in effect, obviously, needs to be renegotiated over time amongst the interested parties.”

“Sarah Palin is right, John McCain ‘doesn't tell one thing to one group and then turns around and tells something else to another group’,” LCV Senior Vice President Tony Massaro said.  “He says two different things to the same group of people."
