Two Branches In Concert: LCV Responds to President Obama’s Fuel Efficiency and Tailpipe Emissions Plan

Responding to President Obama’s plan to raise federal fuel efficiency standards and limit tailpipe emissions for America’s cars and trucks, League of Conservation Voters President Gene Karpinski issued the following statement:

“As Congress debates the strongest clean energy law in our nation’s history, President Obama today increased the strength and competitiveness of America’s automakers, saved consumers untold billions in future gas costs, and significantly reduced the amount of global warming pollution our country will emit.  It is immensely gratifying and utterly refreshing to see both the White House and the Congress working today to create a cleaner, safer, more prosperous future for America.”
