Washington, D.C. — EDF Action Votes and LCV Victory Fund are announcing going back on air to support Reps. Abigail Spanberger in Virginia’s 7th Congressional District and Mike Levin in California’s 49th District.

WATCH: “Solar” (CA-49)

WATCH: “Makes Me Sick” (VA-07)

In CA-49, the organizations will re-run ads which feature a solar business owner who highlights Congressman Levin’s support for the solar industry while contrasting it with Brian Maryott’s support for a plan that raised taxes on middle class California families. The ad started running Saturday on cable in the LA media market and will run until Election Day.

In VA-07, the organizations will go on air with the ad “Makes Me Sick,” featuring Bobby Mathieson, former police officer of 25 years and U.S. Marshal for eight years, who sternly criticized candidate Yesli Vega’s defense of January 6th rioters. The ad starts running on Tuesday on cable and premium streaming TV in the Washington D.C. and Charlottesville media markets and will run until Election Day. EDF Action Votes originally ran this ad in September.

“As we head into the final two weeks of the election, we here at EDF Action Votes are leaving no stone unturned to help re-elect our climate majority. It’s people like Abigail Spanberger and Mike Levin who we need fighting for middle class families in Washington. They’re strong voices for our democracy, our environment and our communities, and that’s why we’re going back up on TV to help re-elect these champions,” said EDF Action Votes Communications Director Hannah Blatt.

“We aren’t leaving anything to chance when it comes to maintaining a pro-environment, pro-democracy House majority,” said Megan Jacobs, LCV Victory Fund Senior National Campaigns Director. “Brian Maryott, Yesli Vega , and anti-environment, anti-democracy Republicans on the ballot across the country are itching to roll back this Congress’ progress to build a healthier, more equitable, and more affordable clean energy future – we won’t stand for it.”

Today’s announcement comes on top of LCV Victory Fund’s numerous new investments in 2022 House races last week, including $1.7M in new digital and TV ads in six battleground House districts and an expansion of LCV Victory Fund and Climate Power Action’s $15M Climate Voters Mobilization campaign to include six new House districts.
