WASHINGTON, DC—Today, the League of Conservation Voters (LCV) Action Fund endorsed Annie Kuster for re-election to U.S. Congress (NH-02) at an environmental roundtable where Congresswoman Kuster, State Senator Dan Feltes, ReVision Energy’s Solar Initiatives Director Jack Ruderman, Special Assistant for Environmental and Energy Policy for Gov. John Lynch Alice Chamberlin, and New Hampshire Technical Institute students Jessica Smith, Mike Thompson, and Cassidy Brennan discussed New Hampshire’s clean energy economy and mitigating the impacts of climate change.

At the roundtable, she and other New Hampshire leaders discussed their plans to address climate change, focusing on the opportunities to grow the clean energy economy and tackle the challenges already affecting Granite State businesses and tourism.

Over her two terms in the U.S. House, Congresswoman Kuster has been a leader on addressing climate change, introducing legislation that would establish the first national renewable energy standard and urging the EPA to use the Northeast’s Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) as a model for cutting carbon pollution. In New Hampshire, she has pushed for the development of renewable energy and fought against the Kinder Morgan natural gas pipeline. A member of the House Sustainable Energy and Environment Coalition (SEEC), Kuster is a leader who brings a deep knowledge of New Hampshire and climate solutions to the table.

Congresswoman Kuster earned an impressive 94 percent score on LCV’s 2015 National Environmental Scorecard. The non-partisan Scorecard is the nationally accepted yardstick used to rate members of Congress on environmental and clean energy issues.
