LCV Action Fund Endorses Angie Craig for Congress

Apr 21, 2016

WASHINGTON, D.C.— The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) Action Fund, which works to elect candidates who will implement sound environmental policies, announced today its endorsement of Angie Craig for Congress (MN-2). Craig has considerable experience advocating for public health and has made combating climate change a key part of her campaign platform.

“Angie Craig will be an exciting new voice in Congress for Minnesota’s environment,” said LCV Action Fund President Gene Karpinski.  “With an impressive career focused on public health and a strong commitment to her community, Angie Craig is an advocate Minnesotans can count on to fight for clean air, clean water and clean energy.”

“I am honored to accept this endorsement from the League of Conservation Voters Action Fund,” said Craig. “When I’m elected to Congress, I will fight to protect the environment, address climate change, and create jobs in the clean energy sector. I look forward to partnering with LCVAF to continue to protect Minnesota’s natural beauty for generations to come.”

Craig would bring valuable, first-hand experience with public health issues to Congress. For the majority of her successful career, she worked in the health care sector, where she rose to the executive level at two companies, including Fortune 500, St. Paul-based St. Jude Medical.  On the campaign trail, she has advocated for clean water and clean air initiatives, including the EPA’s Clean Power Plan.   She is committed to growing the renewable energy sector through investment in wind, solar and energy efficiency.

Craig is featured on LCV Action Fund’s GiveGreen website, the only bundling website devoted exclusively to raising money for environmental champions for federal office.
