Washington, DC- The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) Action Fund, which works to elect pro-environment candidates, announced today its endorsement of Jon Hoadley in Michigan’s 6th district.

“Jon Hoadley is a proven clean energy champion who knows what it takes to fight for communities in southwest Michigan,” said LCV Action Fund Senior Vice President of Government Affairs Tiernan Sittenfeld. “LCV Action Fund is proud to endorse him for Congress because Michiganders deserve a representative who will stand up to the Trump administration’s assault on the environmental protections that are critical for the health of our families, our air, and our water, including the Great Lakes.”

“Jon Hoadley has been a trusted partner and an essential advocate in the fight for clean water for every Michigander,” said Michigan League of Conservation Voters Executive Director Lisa Wozniak. “We can count on him to champion clean air, clean water, and a clean energy future in Congress and we look forward to continuing our work together to protect our Great Lakes and the health of Michigan communities.”

“Our campaign is so grateful to receive the endorsement from the League of Conservation Voters Action Fund,” said Jon Hoadley. “There are folks, here in southwest Michigan, that still don’t have access to clean water, and that’s absolutely unacceptable. We are eager to fight for the environmental issues facing our communities, address the climate crisis, and continue advocating with the thousands of members of the League of Conservation Voters across southwest Michigan.”

Jon Hoadley was first elected to represent the 60th District in the Michigan House of Representatives in 2014. In his time in the state house he has earned a 100 percent lifetime score from the Michigan League of Conservation Voters and was named a Clean Energy champion for his work sponsoring clean energy and energy efficiency legislation. In Congress, he will prioritize investing in Michigan’s clean energy economy and ensuring that every community has access to clean, safe, drinking water.
