Washington, D.C. – The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) congratulates Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-01), Brendan Boyle (PA-02), Madeleine Dean (PA-04), Mary Gay Scanlon (PA-05), Chrissy Houlahan (PA-06), Susan Wild (PA-07), and Matt Cartwright (PA-08) on their congressional victories in Pennsylvania.

“Congratulations to these climate champions on their re-election to Congress,” said LCV President Gene Karpinski. “They are tireless advocates for Pennsylvania’s communities and environment and we look forward to continuing to work with them and our other allies in the Keystone State to protect our air, water, and public health.”

LCV’s GreenRoots member mobilization program turned out LCV members to volunteer with the Biden, Wild, and Cartwright campaigns as part of a nationwide field program to help elect environmental champions that engaged nearly 2,600 LCV members.

Environmental donors contributed over $640,000 to Pennsylvania candidates via GiveGreen. GiveGreen — a partnership between LCV Victory Fund, NextGen America and the NRDC Action Fund PAC that helps grassroots donors directly contribute to pro-environment candidates — raised a record $43 million for the 2020 cycle.

LCV Action Fund endorsed Fitzpatrick, Boyle, Dean, Gay Scanlon, Houlahan, Wild, and Cartwright because of their commitments to renewable energy and climate action.

These are just some of the climate champions who won up and down the ballot, demonstrating that leaning into environmental issues is both good policy and good politics.
