Washington, D.C. – Following the Senate Judiciary Committee’s party line vote to send the nominations of Andrew Oldham and Michael Truncale to the full Senate, the League of Conservation Voters released the following statement from Senior Vice President of Government Affairs Tiernan Sittenfeld:

“These extreme nominees have no place in our courts. Their hostility to the environment and public health, including Oldham referring to the EPA as illegitimate and Truncale calling it a job killer, indicate that their confirmations would threaten our bedrock environmental laws. There is no overstating the importance of the courts for our air and water, and we urge the full Senate to reject both of these dangerous nominees.”
