Washington D.C. — In response to President Trump’s Executive Order requiring that for each new regulation two older ones are eliminated, LCV Senior VP of Government Affairs Tiernan Sittenfeld issued the following statement:

“Another day, another outrageous Executive Order from President Trump.  This one would benefit Big Polluters at the expense of the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the food we eat.  Commonsense safeguards are vitally important to protecting public health, workers, the environment, and so much more. We will fight any attempt—whether by the Trump administration or in Congress—to stack the deck in favor of corporate polluters and other special interests by getting rid of important safeguards that benefit all people in this country.”
