Washington D.C. – LCV Victory Fund congratulates Jacky Rosen on winning her campaign for U.S. Senate and Susie Lee for being elected to represent Nevada’s 3rd congressional district. LCV Victory Fund invested more than $1.5 in the U.S. Senate race, primarily on door-to-door canvassing through the New American Jobs Fund.

“We are delighted that Nevadans have chosen to send Jacky Rosen to the U.S. Senate and Susie Lee to the U.S. House,” said Gene Karpinski, LCV President. “Working with the rest of the now increasingly pro-environment Nevada delegation, these two environmental champions are poised to make the Silver State a national leader in clean energy.”

In the U.S. Senate race, LCV Victory Fund named incumbent Dean Heller to the Dirty Dozen for his record of betraying Nevadans who want a clean energy future and consistently siding with big polluters over public health.

The New American Jobs Fund field program — a partnership with the United Steelworkers (USW) Works — knocked on nearly 225,0000 doors and sent over 1 million pieces of mail supporting Rosen. LCV’s GreenRoots member mobilization program also turned out voters for both Rosen and Lee as part of a nationwide field program that engaged nearly 1,500 volunteers.

Environmental donors contributed more than $925,000 to Nevada candidates, including over $500,000 to Rosen’s campaign and nearly $100,000 to Lee’s campaign, via GiveGreen. GiveGreen — a partnership between LCV Victory Fund, NextGen America and the NRDC Action Fund PAC that helps grassroots donors directly contribute to pro-environment candidates — raised a record $21 million for the 2018 cycle.

LCV Action Fund endorsed Rosen and Lee because of their commitments to Nevada’s clean energy future. LCV Action Fund also endorsed Nevada congressional candidates Dina Titus and Steven Horsford.

Additionally, the Nevada Conservation League PAC invested more than $4.2 million to elect Steve Sisolak and protect clean energy majorities in the state legislature.
