Washington, D.C. — The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) congratulates Representative Morgan McGarvey (KY-03) and Representative-elect Zach Dembo (KY-06) on their wins in Kentucky.
“Kentuckians know firsthand the devastating impacts that extreme weather and pollution can have on their communities, and they deserve leaders who will fight for a healthier and more affordable future,” said LCV President Pete Maysmith. “Representative McGarvey and Representative-elect Dembo will stand up for clean air and water, good-paying clean energy jobs, and solutions that lower costs for working families. We congratulate them on their victories and look forward to working together to protect Kentucky communities and build a cleaner, more resilient future.”
Environmental donors contributed $93,000 to Kentucky candidates via GiveGreen. GiveGreen — a partnership between LCV Victory Fund and NRDC Action Votes that helps grassroots donors directly contribute to pro-environment candidates — raised $28.8 million for the 2026 cycle.
These are just some of the climate champions who won up and down the ballot in Kentucky, reaffirming that addressing the climate crisis and affordable clean energy solutions are winning issues for voters.
