Washington, D.C. — The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) congratulates Senator Ben Ray Luján and Representatives Melanie Stansbury (NM-01) and Gabe Vasquez (NM-02) on their wins in New Mexico.
“We couldn’t be more excited to congratulate Senator Luján and Representatives Stansbury and Vasquez on their wins last night!” said LCV President Pete Maysmith. “They have championed strong legislation to help keep our communities healthier, our air and water cleaner, hold polluters accountable and protect public lands. LCV is excited to work with these leaders and the entire New Mexico delegation in the next Congress.”
Environmental donors contributed $584,000 to New Mexico candidates via GiveGreen. GiveGreen — a partnership between LCV Victory Fund and NRDC Action Votes that helps grassroots donors directly contribute to pro-environment candidates — raised $28.8 million for the 2026 cycle.
These are just some of the climate champions who won up and down the ballot in New Mexico, reaffirming that addressing the climate crisis and affordable clean energy solutions are winning issues for voters.
