Washington D.C. – The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) Action Fund, which works to elect pro-environment candidates, announced today the endorsement of Representative Bill Pascrell Jr. (NJ-09) for reelection to the U.S. House of Representatives from New Jersey’s 9th Congressional District.

“Representative Pascrell is a leader in the fight for a healthier environment for all New Jerseyans,” said LCV Action Fund Senior Vice President of Government Affairs Tiernan Stttenfeld. “Representative Pascrell knows that oil and gas drilling threatens New Jersey’s tourism, fishing industries, and coastal ecosystem but that offshore wind will create good-paying jobs and a more sustainable future for the Garden State. We are excited to endorse Representative Pascrell for Congress because we know that New Jerseyans can always count on him to fight for climate, jobs, and justice.”

“Representative Pascrell has been a strong ally for climate and democracy in Congress,” said New Jersey League of Conservation Voters Executive Director Ed Potosnak. “We are glad to see LCV Action Fund support such a strong climate leader like Representative Pascrell for reelection because we know that he will continue to prioritize a just and clean energy transition and will fight to protect the health and livelihoods of all communities in New Jersey and across the country.”

“I am honored to receive the support of the League of Conservation Voters Action Fund,” said Congressman Pascrell. “Working together, we side with science, advance clean energy solutions, demand climate action, and fund clean water for the American people. I take this responsibility seriously on behalf of our children and their children. They deserve to inherit an earth free of catastrophic pollution and it is up to us today to provide it.”

About Bill Pascrell

In March, he secured over $228 million in federal funding to aid communities damaged by natural disasters and strengthen climate resiliency.

About LCV Action Fund

The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) Action Fund, the connected federal political action committee (PAC) of the League of Conservation Voters, works to elect leaders who stand up for a clean, healthy environment and to defeat anti-environment candidates who oppose climate action. Since the 1990 election cycle, LCVAF has helped elect and re-elect 95 U.S. Senators and 462 members of the U.S. House of Representatives. Over the last several years, our efforts have also helped elevate climate change and clean energy as critical issues in key elections.
