Washington D.C. – The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) Action Fund, which works to elect pro-environment candidates, announced today the endorsement of Brad Pfaff for  election to the U.S. House representing Wisconsin’s 3rd Congressional District.

State Senator Brad Pfaff has spent his life fighting to build a healthy environment with clean air and clean water for all people in Wisconsin, and we are thrilled to support his campaign so he can continue this work in Congress,”  said LCV Action Fund Senior Vice President of Government Affairs Tiernan Sittenfeld. “ Brad Pfaff will fight for all communities, and especially rural communities, to be part of our transition to a clean energy future and ensure that our climate solutions work for communities across western Wisconsin.”

During his time in the Wisconsin legislature, State Senator Pfaff has consistently defended our freedom to vote, championed efforts to protect our drinking water, and fought for a clean energy future – earning a 100% on our 2021-2022 Conservation Scorecard,” said Wisconsin Conservation Voters Government Affairs Manager Peter Burress. “Wisconsinites in the 3rd Congressional District deserve a Congressman who will represent their values, and State Senator Pfaff is that candidate.”

“The climate crisis is real, and we need real solutions that recognize the critical role that farmers will play. The endorsement of the League of Conservation Voters Action Fund is proof that this campaign is laser-focused on these solutions,” said Brad Pfaff. “Growing up on a dairy farm in rural La Crosse County, I learned that we are best equipped to solve tough problems when we work together. I used these homegrown values to inform my service as Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection, and in Congress I’ll fight to address the climate crisis alongside Wisconsin farmers.”

About Brad Pfaff

Brad Pfaff was born and raised on his family’s farm in La Crosse County, Wisconsin and has spent most of his career working on rural environmental and agricultural issues. Before his time in the state Senate, Pfaff worked for U.S. Representative Ron Kind (D-WI-03) for over 12 years focusing on agricultural and rural development issues and served on the Southwest Badger Resource Conservation and Development Council. He also worked for U.S. Senator Herb Kohl (D-WI) and State Representative Virgil Roberts, and in 2009, he was appointed Wisconsin executive director for the Farm Service Agency at the USDA in the Obama administration. He is running for Congress to protect western Wisconsin’s clean air and water, invest in sustainable energy, and protect our democracy.
