Dan Goldman Earns LCV Action Fund and NYLCV Endorsements to Fight for New York’s Communities

Washington D.C. – The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) Action Fund, which works to elect pro-environment candidates, and New York LCV announced their endorsements of Dan Goldman for election to the U.S. House of Representatives from New York’s 10th Congressional District.

“Dan Goldman is an experienced advocate for a healthy democracy and supports a just and rapid transition to our clean energy future,” said LCV Action Fund Senior Vice President for Government Affairs Tiernan Sittenfeld.  “As the former lead counsel for House Democrats during the first impeachment hearing for Donald Trump, he understands the risks to our continued self-governance and has centered his campaign around protecting and strengthening our democracy and voting rights. LCV Action Fund is excited to endorse Goldman’s campaign because we know that he will always be a strong voice for an equitable democracy  and bold climate action.”

About Dan Goldman

Dan Goldman  is a formerAssistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York. A graduate of Stanford Law School, he has a long history advocating for voting and civil rights. In law school, he wrote a law review article on how felon disenfranchisement laws are “the modern-day literacy test” and contributed to Michelle Alexander’s book The New Jim Crow, which addresses inequalities in the criminal justice system. After leaving the U.S. Attorney’s office in 2017, he became a legal analyst for NBC News and MSNBC and served as a fellow at the Brennan Center for Justice. Goldman then became a senior advisor and Director of Investigations for theU.S. House Intelligence Committee, where he served as lead counsel during the first impeachment inquiry against Donald Trump.
