Washington, D.C. – The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) Action Fund, which works to elect candidates who will support sound environmental policies, announced today its endorsement of Abby Finkenauer for Congress in Iowa’s 1st Congressional District.

“Abby Finkenauer is an important voice in a new generation of environmental leaders,” said LCV Action Fund Senior Vice President of Government Affairs Tiernan Sittenfeld. “We are excited to endorse her campaign because of her record of taking action to combat climate change and her commitment to supporting Iowa’s growing clean energy economy.”

Abby Finkenauer has been a champion for renewable energy and climate action in the Iowa House of Representatives since she was first elected in 2014, including sponsoring a bill to include Iowa in the U.S. Climate Alliance. She also helped lead efforts against the restructuring of the Iowa Energy Center, a renewable energy research center. Finkenauer will continue her fight to address climate change and protect Iowan’s air and water as a Member of Congress.
