Washington D.C.- The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) Action Fund, which works to elect pro-environment candidates, announced today its endorsement of Representative Matt Cartwright for re-election in Pennsylvania’s 8th District.
“As the Vice Chair of the Sustainable Energy and Environment Coalition in the House of Representatives, Representative Matt Cartwright is an important leader in promoting clean energy and tackling the climate crisis,” said LCV Action Fund Senior Vice President of Government Affairs Tiernan Sittenfeld. “Representative Cartwright knows the importance of transitioning to a clean energy economy in Pennsylvania and across the country and has stood up to polluters’ continued attacks on clean air and water, and we enthusiastically endorse him for re-election.”
“Representative Matt Cartwright is one of the strongest voices fighting for a clean energy economy in Pennsylvania,” said Conservation Voters of Pennsylvania Executive Director Josh McNeil. “The people of Pennsylvania know firsthand the importance of safeguarding our clean air and water, and Representative Cartwright has always stood with Pennsylvanians in the fight against big polluters. He will continue to stand up for the safe and healthy environment that his constituents deserve.”
“I am proud of my work to protect clean air and clean water, and greatly appreciate the endorsement from the League of Conservation Voters Action Fund,” said Congressman Matt Cartwright. “Since day one in Congress, I have fought to clean up our water, our air, and protect the health of our citizens. I look forward to continuing to partner with LCV to fight climate change and ensure we have a vibrant and healthy world to pass on to our children.”
