Washington, D.C. – The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) Action Fund, which works to elect candidates who will support sound environmental policies, announced today its endorsement of Tulsi Gabbard for reelection to Congress in Hawaii’s 2nd District.

“Tulsi Gabbard has put forward a bold vision for a clean energy future for our country,” said LCV Action Fund Senior Vice President of Government Affairs Tiernan Sittenfeld. “We are proud to endorse her campaign because of her leadership in the fight against climate change, and for her dedication to preserving the spectacular lands and waters of Hawaii for future generations.”

“I am grateful for the continued support of the League of Conservation Voters Action Fund and its members,” said Representative Tulsi Gabbard. “The work they do every day in Hawaii and across the country to protect our planet is so important, and I’m proud to stand with them in this fight for our future and the generations to come. Together, as stewards of the environment, we will continue to work together to protect our water, air, and ‘āina.”

Tulsi Gabbard has served as the U.S. Representative for Hawaii’s 2nd Congressional District since 2013. She grew up surfing and exploring the natural beauty of Hawaii and has a deep appreciation for its water, air, and land. In Congress, Gabbard has consistently voted against increasing carbon pollution and has introduced legislation to combat climate change, support clean energy, and reduce our dependence on fossil fuels. She has earned an impressive 96% lifetime score on LCV’s National Environmental Scorecard.
