Washington, D.C. – The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) congratulates Representatives Andy Kim (NJ-03), Josh Gottheimer (NJ-05), Frank Pallone (NJ-06), Bill Pascrell (NJ-09), Donald Payne Jr. (NJ-10), and Mikie Sherrill (NJ-11) on their wins in New Jersey. 

“New Jersey’s delegation continues to fight for climate justice and voters rewarded them for it,” said LCV President Gene Karpinski. “New Jerseyans saw Democrats vote to pass the largest federal climate legislation in history and made sure they went back to Congress to keep delivering for the state.”

LCV Victory Fund invested $15,000 in NJ-03 supporting Andy Kim as part of the Climate Voters Mobilization campaign with Climate Power Action.

Environmental donors contributed nearly $600,000 to New Jersey candidates via GiveGreen. GiveGreen — a partnership between LCV Victory Fund and NRDC Action Votes that helps grassroots donors directly contribute to pro-environment candidates — raised a midterm record $26.9 million for the 2022 cycle.

These races demonstrating that leaning into environmental issues is both good policy and good politics.
