Washington, D.C. – LCV President Gene Karpinski issued the following statement on the passing of Adam Kolton:

“We are heartbroken by the sudden passing of our longtime friend and colleague, Adam Kolton, and holding his family, friends, and the Alaska Wilderness League and the National Wildlife Federation close. Adam was a fierce advocate, a savvy strategist, a loyal friend, a formidable opponent – and a long-suffering but avid Mets fan. We are so grateful to Adam for his incredible leadership for the environment and especially for protecting the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and other special places throughout Alaska and across the country. We will miss him dearly, but his legacy lives on and we will honor him by continuing to fight for all he held dear.”
