The following letter was sent to the full U.S. Senate Monday urging all senators to vote NO on S.J. Res. 55, a joint resolution of disapproval under the Congressional Review Act (CRA).

The letter highlights the invaluable role that the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) plays for both public health and environmental impact analyses. S.J. Res. 55 would undermine President Biden’s restoration of core provisions of NEPA and would be a major threat to reinstating the robust federal environmental review process needed to tackle the climate crisis with the urgency it requires.
