Washington D.C. – The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) Action Fund, which works to elect pro-environment candidates, announced today the endorsement of Marie Pérez for election to the U.S. House representing Washington’s 3rd Congressional District.

Marie Pérez is a community leader and small business owner who will fight for bold climate action and clean energy independence so that all communities in Washington have a healthy environment,” said LCV Action Fund Senior Vice President of Government Affairs Tiernan Sittenfeld. “We know that Marie Perez will prioritize ourhealth and well-being over polluter profits and always prioritize clean energy, jobs, and justice for all communities. We are proud to endorse her campaign for Congress.”

“Marie Pérez will fight to support small businesses, lower costs, and invest in clean energy while putting the health of all communities in our Evergreen State first,” said Washington Conservation Voters Vice President of Campaigns Lennon Bronsema. “Communities in Washington deserve leaders in Congress who will listen to voters and deliver action on climate, jobs, and justice for all families and communities. We are glad to see LCV Action Fund endorse Marie Pérez for Congress and we look forward to continuing to work with her to protect Washington state’s clean water, clean air, and healthy environment.”

“I deeply appreciate this vote of confidence from the League of Conservation Voters (LCV) Action Fund,” said Marie Gluesenkamp Perez. “As a resident of a rural community that depends on sustainable forestry, I’m committed to advancing clean energy — including adding electric charging infrastructure in rural communities like mine — and promoting renewable packaging like cardboard so we reduce our reliance on fossil fuels and cut back on the environmental harm caused by overuse of plastics.”
